My son's dad doesn't seem to care about his safety?

hmmm...i have to disagree with sarah, only the WORST thing part of her statement. My ex and I share 50/50 custody of our little man. We, however, get along and hang out a lot even go on vacations and trips together. and everything we do is for the love of our little man. Going back and forth from one parent to another doesnt have to be an awful expirience...in fact it shouldnt be! It should be about shared parenting and the love of a child. And when it all comes down to it remember the song from will smith, 'when push comes to shove you were concieved in love'. as per your question, i would do as the other poster stated and talk to the grandparents. You could even go so far as to buy the hardware for a wall mounted baby gate.
