Is it possible ur eye drop can enter ur throat?

Few days ago i took a eye drop which active ingredients were FLUROMETHOLONE 1mg and TETRYZOLINE HYDROCHLORIDE, after taking drug as a drop in eyes i felt so bitter in my mouth and i felt this more times that's why i couldn't complete my dosage, as a pharmacy student i could not find out the reason, have any answer for me....................
