What is a good *comfortable* high heel brand - don't mind spending the $$?

I would really like to find a good comfy pair of high heels (3-inch+). Payless, Aldo, Transit, Guess, etc are uncomfortable to me. My feet are on the wide side. How comfortable are Chanels, Pradas, and Christian Louboutins?? I don't mind spending a few hundred dollars if I can find a pair of shoes that I can actually wear for more than 3 hours and not want to cut my feet off. I *ALWAYS** put those gel inserts in my heels, and it makes it so I can wear them a little longer, but not as long as I'd like.
