How can I reduce traffic noise coming in through my air conditioner?

I have a window-unit ac with accordion side panels made out of plastic. I hear all kinds of street noise coming in through this plastic. It's like I have no windows. Has anyone ever had a similar problem? Is there any material I can use to cover the plastic or anything I can do to reduce the sound without removing my ac?

Still bleeding days after first time . help!?

My brother was charged with aggravated ault. He was held in jail for 2 years and 35 days. Printer sharing between windows xp and mac os x v10.6?

I have a hp psc 1350 hooked up with windows xp on a desk top, printer sharing with a mac os x v10.6, and I followed all the directions to set up the sharing. At first when tried to print, in with XP printer queue it said remote downlevel doent and wouldnt print. then i followed advice to disable bidirectional support. Nothing happened on either computers from there when I tried to print. So I enabled it again, and now on the mac i click to print and it goes into the mac printer queue and just says error and doesnt even send to XP. please help me, nothing on other questions and blogs helped

A lady gave one that was the size of a small coconut and there were several long tough roots attached.I carefully re potted it in a eight inch pot with very rich gardens soil.I didn't expect any spectacular growth immediately but in three weeks this plant has grown fronds five inches long. Where I got it cats their had eaten the foliage completely off and I am wondering if this is normal for this plant to grow this fast. It is not uncool to do music! Do it! But anyway, if you own the instruments, then you can use those, but if you need an instrument, the school should either provide you with one or you'd have to rent one from an music store the school is using. Where I go to school, you can either rent or buy the instrument from the music store that the school uses. that's where I also get my piano lessons, so the music store should have private lessons. At my school, they also have music theory cles, three school bands, a jazz band, br choir, marching band (woo!), pit band for the musical, and there's probably more there I forgot about. With choir, we have three or four choirs, and the musical which I just auditioned for yesterday! Band like in movies about high schools make them look geeky, but there are a ton of popular kids in band. Why am I dreaming about killing my child?

I dreamt that I went to visit a friend who lived in Texas (in life I don't have any friends here). I did not want to stay but she said she would show me the house she had in mind. Why does my water stink?

I live in the country and I have a well. my water began to stink and i lost a lot of hot water so I checked out my water heater and determined that the lower element was bad and since the heater was at least ten years old I opted to get a new one. I bought a Whirlpool Gold water heater with dual anode rods, larger elements, and energy star. the heater was the most expensive 50 gallon that I saw there at 500 it has a 12 year warranty and I installed it myself. I figured that that would solve the problem but after two or three days my water began have a sulfuric smell again. I am wondering if it is my water softener it is a rented one from culligan and has been here since we got the house 9 years ago. we have had various issues with it and every time they come out spend 10 minutes charge 50 and say that it is fine. it is not consistent in putting out soft water, and uses 200-250 pounds of salt in a week to week and a half. I also have to clean a disgusting looking black sludge off of the side of the brine tank 2 or more times a year. what should I do?

The ATI Radeon HD 3200 is integrated (I have it). I can play games like Left 4 Dead but only with a low resolution and lowest settings, so it stinks. The 4570 sounds like is has dedicated memory, and with 512MB, it is by far the better choice.

How can I lower my maintenance payments?

For 17 months I have been the primary care taker of our two kids and I have physical custody and 50-50 legal for the last 3 months. She had disappeared for over 120 days during the 17 months spending time with at least two different beaus. I had to support her while she was in the house, gave her $10K to move out and $450 a month for maintenance. She was also receiving monies from the various boyfriends and traveled to Europe at least 4-5 times. Three weeks ago the judge raised her maintenance from $450 to $1400 a month because she said that she spent most of the $10K that I gave her to leave. I have to pay for two households, I have spent $60K for the litigation,and she doesn't want to work as far as I know. The judge told her to find a job even at McDonald's, which I doubt, and start paying child support. I'm very frustrated with the system because I followed the rules and I'm getting penalized for it. I was faithful during the entire marriage, provided everything for the family, took exclusive care of the kids for the last 20 months (she went on vacation for 23 days while our son was receiving chemotherapy), and now I have to keep on supporting her even though she lives with her boyfriend. What are some things that I can do to lower the maintenance payments? Money that actually should go to the kids, but she wants everything that she can get!! Thanks!

Should i join the navy reserve as a corpsman? serious answers only!?

i have serve 4 years in the navy and just got out last year of june. a navy reserve recuiter contacted talked to me and told me that i could possibly cross rate to HM. im currently IRR until june 2009. He said i would go to A school then after that i could get to choose where ever i want to go. He said he'll make sure that ill be drilling close to my home in chino, ca. he said maybe in moreno valley or san diego but most likely san diego. he said that i will not gonna be sent with the marines. he even told me that if i dont like the active reserve, i could just request a chit to go back in IRR. im currently going to college and i want to become a nurse so maybe joining the reserves would boost my nurse career in the future but also i dont want to be sent to iraq, i did my share already. would joinging the reserves a good idea or should i just stay IRR till 09?

Okay.. its seems intense.. and stress full.. in a way. I have ideas though.. (Choice Two) is utilizing my artistic abilities which would happen either way.. to pursue.. my fine art areas and painting. I researched again. I found quite a few places far from me .. in my state though.. that has work shops.. they cost like 300.00 each is the going rate.. for about a cl of ten. and you must stay a few days or a weekend. But that is good pay.. that I was unaware existed. One lady is also an art/creative counselor.. she consults with you to guide you in her experiences and directs you. Not sure how much she charges.. its another way to make money.I could also put my art pieces in many galleries on commission or consignment..and get a percentage. I can even possible open a small gallery of my own.. attached to my house.. or for rent for awhile first. I can even write books.. I am a writer too.. ..like my experience.. to inspire others.. or.. a chicken soup for the soul. These work shops can offer a bed and break fast or.. not and just provide the work shops. Hmm... maybe there is a new kid at her school, and as soon as he shows up she starts experiencing flashbacks from her past. They are NOT happy flashbacks, but she can't make any sense of them. And with the flashbacks come blinding, painful headaches. These soon become worse as the flashbacks become more and more frequent, and she starts seeing the new student in her flashbacks. When she confronts him/her about it, they tell her that they trying to defend her against an evil wizard who stole part of her soul when she was a child. The new student (who's really not as young as they look) tells her he/she defeated the wizard, but now he's back and they can't defeat him again. It's up to Mara, and she has to defeat the wizard and regain her soul (which contains her memories!) soon, otherwise the increasingly frequent headaches and flashbacks are going to kill her. Hey! I have been applying to pet stores because that is where I have experience. I give a resume, fill out the application very nice and call back to check the application. There is truth to what you say. Where I am at, the increase in the number of foreclosures hitting the market has not increased enough to match what I would expect. The person that I deal with in real estate agrees that certain banks are doing tricks to conceal the problem and delay the final outcome. Basically, not taking the loss now and hoping for help later. It would be interesting to know the increase of the banks non-performing loans and see if that would explain where they are hiding these future foreclosures. While I agree they aren't legally forced to foreclose, they can't keep holding on forever and increasing the non-performing without other problems occurring.

I'm a spray painter myself but i'm alittle unsure of the trades ethics in your country, if that isn't an issue i would suggest the cheaper workshops, afterall your not exactly going to drive away with a mive run on your panels or a spot with not enough coverage, if its abit of a peely finish ( not too flat ) just ask them to run a buff over it if their abit hesitant maybe offer an extra $50 or so, its alot cheaper then a cut and buff down the track and fair considering its all part of the job, if your not happy with the job, express that to boss when you see it, obviously before you pay him lol, afterall they maybe quoting cheap to get more work, as for the colour change its really up to you, a full color change includes insides of doors which includes removing and stripping all doors and the inner body frame, engine bay, inside of boot lid under bonnet etc... it might come close to double the price but if your not fussed with the inner color then it should be the same price, metallics will cost extra also, if your thinking of going to a light color, being black they'll want to under coat it for easier coverage, that lingering in the back of the bosses head might prompt him to want to charge more also..

How do I extend a 8" clay yard vent that is 3 inches below the concrete in my parking pad?

The short story is that the previous owners covered the vent with 3" of concrete sometime ago. I had the vent riser located and I broke up a section of the pad and found the vent opening. Sonic Youth Album Review?

Hi, I am a huge Sonic Youth fan. I believe that the reason why so many people dislike NYC Ghost and Flowers is because it has such a unique and original sound compared to the music they had recently been making. It was much slower and experimental. I personally dont care for this album. But one of the biggest reasons I like them is because even after being a successful and critically acclaimed band, they have the courage to release an album so unique and avante garde. They take risks like this to push musical boundries and do their own thing. Their sound is so unique that sometimes it is just too unique for many people to enjoy. My favorite album is Goo, because I think it is the most consistent and ferocious. For old stuff, Bad Moon Rising because of the dreamlike sounds and sweet cover art, and recent stuff I like Rather Ripped. You should look for the "Screaming Fields of Sonic Youth" compilation album. Its a pretty good collection of earlier stuff and has some Day Dream nation era stuff on there too, so you wont have to buy all those albums right away, cuz theres a bunch

What would the point be in regen'ing twice? Wrap In Vigor regens all of your creatures at the same time. They never really leave the field, all they do is die but never go into the graveyard. When you regen you have to immediately tap them after you declare the regen. Save the second Vigor for a time that you relly need it.

Why does hemp milk upset my stomach?

I went vegan a couple of months ago. Although it took a few days for me to get used to soy milk, I now love it. I recently tried rice milk and almond milk and love them both. I now drink only almond milk. However, a few days ago, I started hearing about hemp milk (or hemp seed milk.) I did some searching on a few different websites and decided to try it. Last night, I poured myself a small gl (maybe 4oz) to try it. It tastes pretty good. It has a very nutty, earthy flavor. About 10 minutes later, I started feeling pretty sick. I didn't attribute it to the hemp milk, but after having another gl tonight, the same thing happened. Is there something that could be giving me an upset stomach? The only thing I can thing of is the thickening agent, carrageenan. I don't think I've had problems with it in the past though... Any ideas?
